2023 Festival a Great Success!

What a great festival! Thank you so much for everyone who came out to watch, and those that participated! A wonderful group of students in one of the most beautiful places on the earth — that’s a winning combination! We made great music this summer and made connections and friendships that will last forever. We are starting right away to plan our 23-24 season. Stay tuned for our next events — which will be our “off-season” concerts in the fall and in the spring.

Redfish Excited to Announce Concert with Local Musicians

The south coast is a wonderful place to live, and all the more so because

there are some wonderful local musicians in residence who perform and

keep the local classical music scene alive and vibrant with their sounds.

We would like to help get the word out about  an event which is happening soon.

Cellist Dace Sultanov and friends Ali Jones (on piano), Cathleen Williams (on bassoon),

Mary Moore (on clarinet) perform August 27, Sunday at 3 pm at Zion Lutheran Church,

20th & Washington, Port Orford, admission is by donation. There will be a

reception with refreshments to follow the performance.

In addition to hearing these wonderful local musicians perform, you will also be

supporting the restoration of the Zion Lutheran Church building. Redfish has a

great debt of gratitude to Zion Lutheran Church, as it is our “birthplace” of sorts, so

we are excited to see the building get some attention.

The Roundhouse Foundation Supports Redfish!

Due to the generosity of the Roundhouse Foundation, the Redfish Music Festival is able to offer scholarship money to deserving students who couldn’t otherwise attend the festival. This year the grant also included operating support for the festival. It is only with this help that Redfish can continue to bring quality classical music to this rural area of Oregon. Thank you Roundhouse Foundation!

Redfish Partners

The Redfish Music Festival is happy to announce two local concerts happening soon on June 8th at 7:00 pm and June 9th at 7:00 pm, both in Bandon. See the poster at right for more information. We are so happy that so much classical music is happening on the coast!

Local Musicians Making Music!

Some wonderful local musicians are performing in Bandon at Holy Trinity Church on November 5th, 2023, at 3:00 pm at 355 Oregon Ave. Redfish is so glad to support year-sound classical music concerts!

Redfish is excited to announce our season sponsor!

Curry Health Network is proud to sponsor this season's offerings of the Redfish Music Festival! As we all know, good music is good for the soul, and a healthy soul supports a healthy mind and healthy body. We're pleased that we can play a small part in extending the opportunity for patrons to enjoy excellent classical music while supporting our mission of supporting healthy communities with compassionate, quality health care.

Spotlight on Local Musicians

The Redfish Music Festival is happy to announce a local concert happening soon on May 7th, 2:00 pm at the Holy Trinity Church, 335 Oregon Ave, Bandon. Musicians Sara Mautner (violin), pianist Crystal Landucci, cellists Kimberly Wurster and Dace Sultanov. The south coast is rich with music and musicians! Support these wonderful local artists!

Spring Concerts a Success!

Violinist Fritz Gearhart and pianist Alexander Tutunov performed three concerts at the beginning of April for our spring tour. The concerts were a big success and audience attendance was up at each event. Redfish Music Festival thanks all of you who attended our performances! You are keeping the torch light of classical music alive for everyone to experience! We thank you! Below is a short clip of Alex and Fritz warming up for the Port Orford concert.

RMF Receives OAC and NEA Grant!

The Redfish Music Festival is so excited to announce that we received a grant from the Oregon Arts Commission: Arts Build Communities. This is certainly true with RMF! We are developing communities in all of the towns where we perform! Our goal is that each town considers RMF their own arts organization. We are looking for motivated board members to help guide us through the next phase of our growth. See the SUPPORT page for more information on how you can partner with Redfish. We are so honored and excited to print the words: The Redfish Music Festival is supported by funds from the Oregon Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.

RMF Starts Fall Fundraising Drive!

Our second year was a great success and we are looking forward to year three! So much has happened since we received our nonprofit status in January of 2021. Our goal is to build a sustainable organization that will continue to bring beautiful music to the south coast region. We have taken some important steps this fall, including engaging professional accounting help and year-round insurance coverage. These steps, although not outwardly exciting, are important for our growth. They do carry with them some financial responsibility. Please consider donating to our fall fundraising drive, visit our fundraising page and read our fall letter.

2021 Festival Highlights

Special Guests at Redfish Concert

Our November 13th, 2021 concert in Port Orford was a wonderful success! We had some very special guests perform at intermission between our two Beethoven Violin Sonatas. Pictured are University of Oregon Students Alfonso Keller-Casielles and Adam Broce performing with students from Coos Bay Levi and Charis Murray on violin and Elias El-Youssef on cello.

RMF Secures Grant from CCCC

We are excited to announce that the Curry County Cultural Coalition is supporting the Redfish Music Festival with a grant recently secured. Ticket sales do not cover the cost of bringing concerts to the coast, so this support is essential to help us fulfill our mission. Thank you CCCC!
